The Man Who Would
Steal Happiness
he calls me "the
Grinch"
and he's right: I do hate Christmas--
and not only Christmas,
but the rest of the year as well.
my silent apathetic
attitudes--
intentional memory loss.
you see, I am the
man
in a thousand Christmas stories--
the Scrooge,
the cynic--
pretending to be
security,
I walk into life's department store
and sneak away with
stolen
happiness concealed under my coat.
