An open letter from Charles Ries to Poetry Magazine was published today in Muddy Bank, the 2River blog. The letter calls for Poetry to actively support zines, where Ries believes the more daring and challenging poetry is being published today.

Rosary Poems Coming in February

In early February, 2River will publish The Rosary Poems by Alison Shaffer. This collection, rooted in contemplation of the twenty Mysteries, counterpoints the writer's longing to move beyond mediating sacred texts and into a direct relationship with the divine. The Rosary Poems, number 17 in the 2River Chapbook Series, reflects the evolution of this longing: its frustration, irony, irreverence, and hope.
Carol and Darke Added to 2River Gallery

Art by Cristina Carol and Kelly Darke has been added to the 2River Gallery. Carol's monotype prints first appeared in the 8.4 (Summer 2004) issue of 2RV; Darke's art first appeared in the 9.1 (Fall 2004) issue of 2RV. Art from all issues of 2RV and from the Chapbook Series can be viewed in the 2River Gallery.
