A Suicide Letter
Because
you turned the headlights
of your car on before you started the engine, and told people things
they couldn't possibly have cared less about, and you drank too
much coffee and as a result went to school feeling queasy and always
forgot, always forget, always forgot-forget, and you were silent
when you should have spoken with the nerve to tell them who or what
you really were, and you had no difficulty solving other people's
problems but could never solve your own, and you were bad and there
was no reason why anyone should have cared, and scars faded fast
after a few days, leaving nothing to feel, and all you ever wanted
was someone who would make a difference, and you achieved nothing
but had spent your whole life working towards it.
