Dorothy Surrenders Jessy Randall

The Tin Man

He is the author of all this.

Didn’t know that, did you?
L. Frank Baum had a faulty heart.
It saved him from military school
and threw a typewriter at him.
You think you’re so smart
but there’s so much you don’t know.

The tin man wants a heart
even though he knows it will hurt him.

In Oz there is no death
but there can always be heartache.

"Boo, hoo," the tin man cries,
"I’m not writing this the way
I wanted to."
